We started off and headed towards the Goblin Camp. Not knowing whether or not the goblins would be amenable to our presense, we didn’t wander too far in. Wandering around, we talked to a few goblins, but decided to pivot and go explore the Auntie Ethel questline.
We headed down toward, what we would quickly learn is the Putrid Bog. Upon entering, we talked to a Addled Frog, and yikes. We immediately had to fight it, and it had some crazy damage output for just a small frog and was surprisingly hard to kill. After finishing this fight, we worked our way in a bit further, and came upon the teahouse. We succeeded the perception check, and immediately it’s quaint facade was removed. It was clear, who ever (or whatever) Auntie Ethel is was likely not just a “sweet old lady”.

Upon entering, we can see Auntie Ethel is dirty and arguing with a young woman to eat her food. The inside of the tea house is very dirty and extremely cluttered. I decided to push the narrative towards having Auntie Ethel try to help me remove my tadpole. Knowing full well that she would not likely be able to help, I was curious. At this point, she reveals her true form, a hag.

Almost immediately she “poofed” the young lady out of existence. She offered a deal of kissing my eye for removal of the tadpole. I wasn’t sure what the outcome of this “kiss” would be, but I figured it would be worth the risk to find out. It turns out, it’s one of the few times the game shows the player that bad decisions sometimes have consequences! It turns out, I Paid the Price for that choice. After not holding up her portion of the bargin, and me now having a disadvantage for perception checks, she quickly dissapeared into her fireplace.
We followed her, intending to find out what she did with the you girl and maybe hoping I could get her to fix my eye. We noticed Gale was in need of another magic item to consume. After giving him one, he explained it was not nearly as effective as previous once. He then explained his plight with the Weave and his backstory. We then adjourned our session.
